Walnut and Grape Salad:)

Hey All:)  I have been pretty busy this weekend and it has been filled with lots of time spent with family and friends!  Last night, my lil sis came over along with a friend and I made some delicious supper!  Then we went to see The Hunger Games and I was super excited to go see it:)  We watched the movie in a smaller town, so it wasn't completely sold out, which was nice because then we weren't sitting on top of each other.

I knew the movie wasn't going to be as good as the book and I was right.  I do have to say though, it was good and the actors did a pretty good job.  In my opinion, better than Twilight actors.  I love the movie/series Twilight, don't get me wrong, but the acting just wasn't the best:(  The costumes in The Hunger Games were definitely out there along with their hair and accessories!

Before we went to the movie, like I said before, I made supper, and one of the dishes I made was a Walnut and Grape Salad!  It did turn out pretty tasty.  I found the recipe off of My Recipes, but I did change it just a teenie bit.

Ingredients:
2 cups of walnut halves
1/3 cup of Light Olive Oil
2 tablespoon sugar
1 tsp of salt
1/4 c White Wine Vigenar
2 tablespoons of Dijon mustard
1/4 tsp of ground pepper
1 lb of lettuce
1 1/2 c of halved red seedless grapes
1 c finely slivered red onion
2 tablespoons of tarragon

Ingredients
On a baking pan, mix walnuts and 1 tablespoon oil, the sugar, and 1/2 tsp salt; make sure it is all level.  Bake in 350 degrees oven, until nuts are golden brown or for about 15 minutes.  Let cool.

In a large bowl, mix vinegar, mustard, 1/2 tsp salt and 1/4 tsp pepper.  Slowly whisk in 1/3 c of oil until vinaigrette is mixed together.
Vinaigrette

Add lettuce, red onion, grapes, sugared walnuts, and tarragon.  Mix gently to coat with the dressing and add more salt and pepper if needed.
