Dreaming of Redecorating!

Well, the hubby has made great progress on our basement with the help of his dad and mine:)  Mainly, it's been all him though!  I'm VERY lucky to have a hubby that does such an awesome job with remodeling!  It's not quite finished yet, BUT it's getting there!  I hope that it will be finished at least by June.  By "it", I mean the family room and bar room area(excluding the bar back splash.) 

Since, we are getting closer and closer as time goes by, I have been pinning inspiration rooms like crazy!  Truly, if you follow me on Pinterest then you know already!  I know I want something bright in our basement, especially the family room because there is NO natural light.  That really bums me out, but you have to work with what you have, right?!?!?

I want to carry the teal and grey color scheme in the family room, with maybe splashes of pink and/or yellow.  Haven't decided yet!  Here are some of the inspirations that I would like our family room to look like:

So, as you can tell, I do have somewhat of a theme.  Now, just to be able to narrow it down!  I also need to be thinking of colors for our living room.  When the basement is finished we will paint our living room and get new furniture for it also.  It will just be easier that way.  We will be able to get it finished all at once:)

Is there anyone else out who is head-over-heels for teal this season?!?!?

I sure am and it's not only for decor!  I have bought some adorable mint heels, teal dress, and a shirt that has mint in it!  I just can't get enough:)

Caution, Work in Progress!

Hey All:)  I am very excited for the way our basement bathroom is looking, so far.  I have my wonderful husband and my father in law to thank for this:)  The hubby has put a lot of hard work into this and I'm just so lucky to have a hubby that is a handy man and can do just about anything he puts his heart to!    It's not finished yet and it will probably be a little while, but I picture it all in my head:)

Not only has the hubby been working away, but we bought a lot of fixtures, and things to complete the look of the bathroom.

Well, just like many of you, I am addicted to Pinterest whether I'm looking for different crafts, recipes, or just inspiration.  I have been finding and pinning a lot of different inspiration on my Pinterest boards:)  Some of the pins I have found on Pinterest while the other ones have been from random blogs, websites, or HGTV(gotta love it).

Hey there fellow Bloggers!!!  It sure has been a while since I've been on here!  I have been busy with putting away Christmas gifts and finding new homes for them:)  Our house is already short on storage and yet we still have to figure out what to do with our gifts...YiKeS!!!

The hubby and I had a fabulous holiday!  It was spent with family and we had TONS of yummy food.  I can't believe that Christmas is once again over with!  It always goes by soo fast...    I hope all of you had a wonderful holiday and will be enjoying the new year to come!!!!

Purple, Purple, Purple!!!!

Hey All:)  This weekend just flew by, I can't believe it's already Sunday!  I didn't really leave the house much, I mainly just checked some things off of my to do list, which is great in my book!

The first thing I did this weekend, as I explained in my post yesterday, was try to pick some colors out for our bedroom.  I'm in the process of updating it:)  So, these were our choices that I picked out:

And we ended up choosing the 2nd one on the bottom row for our accent wall and then the gray one in the top row which is the 4th one from the left:)  I wanted to choose a purple that was light enough to paint a stencil on if that's what we decided at a later time.

Keep in mind that we are still in the process of decorating and putting our room all together, but this is the before pic:

The Verdict is In!

Happy Wednesday everyone!  We're about half way through the week:)  A couple posts ago, I wrote about my bedroom and what the possibilities could be to decorate it a little differently in order for it to match my new comforter set.   I have figured out what I would like to do with my accent wall:)  Did I choose:

Change is Grrrreat!!!!

One of my passions and things I enjoy keeping myself busy with is decorating.  I'm definitely not a pro at this, and that's why I'm asking for some suggestions!  Don't you love trying to find new pieces for your newly decorated room?  I know I do!  It was about time to update our "master bedroom", time for a much needed change.  Plus, I've been itching to get out there and start shopping and searching for some decor for our house:)  Here is our bedroom before:
Now before I show you "the after", I have to explain that I'm not finished and it's only the beginning of long decorating process!  I wanted to go with a drastic color change.  Purple and gray, I think are very deep, rich, and romantic, and they compliment each well:)

My inspiration piece for this color was my dress which was a recent spur of the moment birthday purchase:)

That's me in the middle, all happy to be with great friends:) Isn't it crazy though, how you can find inspiration?  The thing that I love about this dress is the fabric, beading, and the deep color!  I think it looks classy and that's how I want my room to turn out!
