In the Spirit of Halloween!

Since Halloween is right around the corner and I was kind of bored one night, I tried out Pic Monkey's Halloween extras!!!  If you haven't tried it out yet then you should because they have some pretty neat effects.  I just tried it out on two of my pics and here are the creepy pictures:

Yah...the second one is a little gory and it isn't as real looking!  My favorite one is the vampire one:)

These pictures remind me, today the hubby and I were relaxing and watching TV, flipping through the channels.  We came to AMC and there was a series called "The Walking Dead", and it is actually pretty good.  You might want to check it out, if you like movies/series about zombies!

1 Year:)

Happy Monday!!!  Today is such a great day:)  It is the hubby and I's 1 year anniversary!!!  1 year ago today was the happiest day of my life and I can't wait to celebrate many more years with my wonderful hubby:)  He means everything to me, is my world, and I don't know what I would do without him.  We've been through so much together, whether it be good times or hard times, and we're still madly in love with each other:)  I am so thankful to have him in my life and the life that we have made together!!!  On that note, I wanted to share with you some of our wedding pics from 1 year ago today:)

St. Louis Part 2

Hey everyone!!!  Like I said yesterday, I wanted to share lots of pics with you because St. Louis is such a beautiful and fun city.  In this post, I wanted to share with you what I did in order to eat semi-healthy while vacationing.  If it was a perfect world then I wouldn't have gained 1 lb, but the truth is that I did.  I know why, but doing what I did definitely helped me keep off even more weight!

Alright, Rule number 1 (for me) was to eat a salad or something really light for lunch.  So here is one  pic of my salad:):)  I swear I ate more than one salad, I just didn't take anymore pics!

Over the Holiday Week!!!

Hi All!!!  I'm back from our vaca in St. Louis:)  I can say that we had a blast, but we're just glad to be back home!!  We had quite a few ideas planned for this vacation, but since it's been extremely hot out, and even more so in St. Louie, we didn't get to do as much as we wanted:(  Alot of things we planned were outside and it was around 100-103 degrees everyday.

7 Super Shots!

Hey everybody!  I hope your all having a fantastic day:)  I just found out yesterday that Mindy from My Life As  tagged me in a post of hers.  The orginal post came from the Family and Life in Las Vegas.  Now, I'm suppose to choose 7 super travel pictures based on some criteria  and share them with you all!  This post took me a while because I had ALOT of pictures to leaf through!  So, I hope you enjoy!!!  Well, here are the 7 that I choose:

Maui

Maui has some crystal-clear, breathtaking beaches and this was one of them:)  It had to be my favorite beach because it was kind of in an inlet of coral reef.  So, the coral reef broke up the waves quite a bit!

Weekend Update!

This weekend has been a busy one!  We went to our niece's 1st birthday party, saw the in-laws,  and hubby's friends and got our camper out of storage!  Plus, once we came home from the in-laws, we had things to do for school or for work.  We have been pretty busy!

I just wanted to share a quick post with you by showing you some pictures of what we did!

Flower Power!

Happy Friday everyone!!!!  I had such a fabulous Friday because I got to hang out with one of my best friends and we went shopping and did more shopping.  Plus, we had couples date night tonight at Famous Dave's!  I had a mean strawberry spiked lemonade, it sure was tasty:):)

These past couple days, I have been spending more and more time outside trying to get our flower beds ready for summer.  I've also been watching my lilac bush start to bud and bloom into some lovely and fragrant flowers.  I can't tell you how much I LOVE lilac's. 

So, yesterday I decided to pick a couple bouquets of flowers and put them in vases throughout our house and today I gave one bouquet to my friend.  She loved them!

I wanted to share with you all, all of my Spring/flower pictures that I have been snapping throughout this week:)  I hope you enjoy them as much as I do!!!

Last Minute Design

Happy almost Thursday everybody:)  This week seems to be going by waaayyy too fast!  That just means one step closer to the weekend and seeing some amazing friends:) I can't wait until next Monday and Tuesday we'll be hitting the high 60's...whoop, whoop!!!

I was bored tonight, saw my nails needed a little pick me up, so I repainted them.  This time I used a fairly deep pink with black and sprinkles of sparkles!  I mean who really doesn't just love sparkles and glitter?

Since I just took these pics, I really don't know how they will show up.  I will try to take another pic tomorrow during the day light and post that pic, too!  The design is fairly simple, but I've never tried anything like it before.  My next design just may be zebra print...if I can do it:)

Hey Fellow Bloggers:)  Today the sun is shining and it is going to be a beautiful Iowa Winter day!!!  When the sun is shining bright it just puts an extra hop in my step:)

I wanted to share with you some of the items that I bought over the weekend.  I absolutely fell love with my new jean jacket that I bought this weekend.  The best part is that I can wear it with just about any top!!!  The outfit that you see below is actually ALL new:):):)

I'm In Love!

Ever since the hubby and I got hitched over the summer, I have been ordering things non-stop from the fabulous Shutterfly!  I just can't get enough of it.  Plus, the best part is that they run such great deals or give you such wonderful coupons you really can't pass up purchasing pictures or arranging a perfect picture book:) 

Don't get me wrong the process of putting a picture book together, especially one where that you tweak, can be very time consuming, but so much fun:)  I just made one for our honeymoon to Hawaii and this is a sneak peak of some of it!

On Shutterfly, they actually have a place where you can customize your book to whatever your liking may be!  That is just what I did and i love how it turned out!  Don't you?


On top of that, I just recieved a $20 coupon on any purchase from Shutterfly.  Of course, I had to order some pictures.  Here's to hoping that they turn out really nice!!!!  I'm crossing my fingers and toes because I just may be making a DIY photo canvas to use in our basement.  I hope it turns out:)

M.I.A

As many of you have seen, I haven't been posting quite as much as I have been before..... That's because my husband and I went on our belated honeymoon:)  We just got back yesterday and I had to say this trip was the BEST one I have EVER been on:):)  We went to the spectacular island of Maui!!!  I fell in love with it as soon as we landed!  I seriously didn't want to leave....I want a vacation home there or just retire there!!   There really is just something about Maui that makes me soo unbelievably happy:)  It could be the crystal clear beaches....

Fall in Full Bloom!

I have to say "fall"  puts a smile on my face!  One because all of the beautiful colors and the crisp, clean air that Fall has to offer.  Two because it is my FAV season!  It makes me feel like a kid again because  it reminds me when I was younger and would rake the leaves into a pile and I would take a running JuMp into them:)

My camera definitely has gotten a workout this fall and here's the proof:

In the Valley...

This weekend my husband went home to go combining, that's his true good ole country boy side of him:)  Why should I have stay home and not have any fun, so I planned a fun weekend to go see the fam.  Friday I got to enjoy some time with my dear gma, sister, her boyfriend, and my mom.  My sis whipped a fabulous meal together for all of us and we just caught up with each other.


I've been wanting to go to Galena, IL , which is pretty close to my hometown, for a while now and just haven't been able to.  I thought why not go on Saturday with my sis and that's what we did:)  If any of you have been to Galena then you know that it is a town with lots of unique houses and stores scattered throughout the down town area.  Most of the shops, cafes, and odds n' end stores are situated in a hilly area with many trees surrounding it.  Since it is fall, it's the best time to visit this quaint little Midwestern town because the leaves on the trees are turning all sorts of different colors from red to yellow to brown.   I wasn't the only one thinking this same thing, when we got closer to Galena, we soon found out how packed it was!  The streets in Galena are very narrow and on top of that there is parking on both sides, so it makes for a tight squeeze to get up and down the streets.  On top of that, parking is atrocious.  This town has a lot of history,  SO much character, and that's what brings me back to the town every year.    You can find some unique gifts for just about anyone here and that's just what I did:)  I found something for a couple of my family members and my husband!  I was searching for something for my big puppy, but couldn't find what I was looking for.  My husband is a HUGE fan of the Hawks, so this is what I bought him.

I think he will like this and it will work for the fall season:)  I bought a "Halloween" sign for myself because it was just too cute, I couldn't pass it up!

Then I came across, a little ornament that I knew would work perfectly for a Christmas present for one of my family members!  What do you think?  You don't really see too many of these!
