Springy Teal Yarn Wreath

Happy Saturday everyone!!!  It is a very nice day in Iowa.  It is about 60 degrees and the sun is shining and no clouds in sight:)  That sure makes me one happy lady!!!  I really just want to take Lucy for a walk and enjoy the warmth and sunshine, but we'll see if I have time to!

In one of my earlier posts this week, I mentioned how I was lacking on making any crafts and how I've been working on one craft for the past 2 weeks!!  Well, today I just finished it and I wanted to share it with all of you lovely ladies:):)  Since I'm extremely pumped for Spring and just want it to be here already, I made a springy wreath!

These are the flowers that I have posted tutorials on:)  I also added some smaller versions of the larger flowers on the wreath.

These were the things that I needed to make this wreath:

-  Wavy Ribbon
-  Purple and Gray Scrapaper
- Teal and White Yarn
-  Styrofoam Wreath
-  Hot Glue
-  Already made Flower 1, Flower 2, Flower 3

The wreath itself was easy, but kind of time consuming to make.  All I did was wrap the teal around the wreath, constantly checking for holes in it and if there was then I was going back to it right away and re wrapping that area.

 It took a while to get this far...but it's super easy!  Plus I had a little helper:)


Then I took the white yarn and just wrapped a little throughout the wreath and i tied it on the back side of the wreath like you see in the picture below.

All the while I was wrapping the yarn, she thought it was a toy for her, especially after I was finished with wrapping all the yarn!

She's just too cute to say no to!

So, as you can see as I working on this project, I had some company:)  After I finished wrapping and tying the yarn then I arranged the flowers on the wreath, and hot glued them down.  I thought that it needed something extra so, I cut out some circles using the purple and gray scrapbook paper.  Then I took the wavy ribbon and put it across the wreath.   I folded the circles in half and I glued them to the wavy ribbon making a pattern, purple and gray, to make a half circle garland.  I did the same thing for the second row and made the half circle garland.  Then I took some more of the wavy ribbon and wrapped it around the wreath.  Last, I took the thicker white ribbon and made a loop to hang it.

This was the finished look!
