Joy To The World!

Hey All, I hope your having a fantastic Monday!  I have to say that I can't believe that it's almost already Thanksgiving...this year is just flying by!!!  Before you know it will be Christmas and then the New Year:-o  This time of year has always been my fav for many reasons such as: spending time with family, falling in love with the first snow, enjoying all of the Christmas goodies, and having a little extra time off:):)  Who wouldn't love that?

I wanted to share with all of you lovely fellow blogger's, my most recent DIY project, and it is a "JOY" sign!

*Christmas Joy*

What you will need:
Cardboard letters of your choice
Christmas scrapbook paper
Mod Podge Matte
Cutting Board
Scissors
Accessories to add

Steps to make the "Joy" sign:
1.  Trace the letters on the back of the scrapbook paper
2.  Cut out the letters
3.  Measure the side of the letters.  Mine was 1" wide, so i just cut out 1" wide strips.

4.  Use your Mod Podge to glue the front, back, and sides of your letters.

Brush on Mod Podge:)

5. Wait for it all to dry about 30 minutes or so.

6. Add your accessories to dress up your letters

The little details are the perfect touches:)
I thought the button matched pretty well, it's very muted.

I like that it looks a little more countryish!  Easy, peasy, lemon squeezy and your finished!!!! This is such a quick, and easy, festive project.  I will be making one of these for Halloween next year or for Spring:) I hope you have as much fun as I did trying one for yourselves:)

What wonderful projects have any of you tried for the Holiday season?

For the 24 Days of Giving Thanks, I am thankful for all of the fabulous students whom I teach!  Without them work wouldn't be as fun and enjoyable.  They are such a lovely group of students:)  I couldn't ask for any more!

  4. OK, that was easy! You aren't going to believe this, but I bought a JOY today at a shabby chic store done all up in silver glitter. It is really cute, but now I guess I could have made it! Oh well..
