Yummy Caramel Cashew Chex Mix!

I have been pretty busy lately! On Sunday, the hubby and I got back from camping at Devil's Lake and it was soo much fun:) I'll have to tell you more about that a little later! Then on Monday it was back to school to get my room ready. Tomorrow will be my "first" day of school, just mainly teacher inservice:)

Before I went camping, I whipped together some Caramel Cashew Chex Mix and let me tell you it is the BOMB! I'm not even lying! It is soo addicting:o I don't know why I do that to myself when I go camping, but I had to have something to indulge a little on:)
Finger Lickin' Good!
It's super simple to make and all you need is:
2 boxes of Crispex cereal
2 cs of brown sugar
1/2 c of light karo syrup
2 sticks of butter
1 tsp of salt
1/2 tsp of baking soda

Ingredients
Mix all the ingredients except for the Chex Mix and cashews into a microwave safe bowl for 1 minute. Grab bowl out and make sure everything has melted together, if it hasn't then just put the mixture in for another 30 seconds or so.

You can do the next step in one of two ways either: 1) Grab a paper bag and put Chex Mix, cashews and caramel mix in the paper bag and shake really well or if you don't have a paper bag and your microwave safe bowl isn't big enough divide up the caramel mix in half. In your biggest microwave bowl, put the 1 box of Chex Mix, half of the cashews, and half of the caramel mix together and stir. Then you'll have to repeat that last step for the 2nd box of Chex Mix.
Cashews
Put either the bag of Chex Mix or the bowl of Chex Mix in the microwave for 3 minutes. Take it out stir it up real well again and grab a cookie sheet to spread the Chex Mix onto to cool. There you have some sweet, salty, and crunchy treat:)
Yes, it made 3 cookie sheets of Chex Mix!

 Enjoy!!!!

Thanks for stopping by:):):)

 Until next time!!!!!
