Basement Reno

There has been quite a few changes in our basement bathroom that I wanted to share with you lovely ladies:)  I have to give credit where credit is due and give all of this to my wonderful, fantastically handy hubby!!!  He has been working his butt off and still is.

I knew that I wanted to have a teal, gray, and white color scheme for our basement.  I wanted to carry this color scheme throughout our whole basement, especially since most of it would be open to the other rooms.  I heart the crisp, fresh, and bright feeling that teal packs:)  Teal is, as you may already know, my favorite color of the year!!

After a lot of convincing the hubby that the color would look FAB on the walls, we ended up with this shade.  When it was first on the walls, I was like OMG, holy brightness, where's my shades!?!?!  Then after a while of getting used to the color, I wouldn't change it.  I have to thank the hubby bunches for letting me keep this color because he isn't a fan.  He always says whatever makes you happy:)  Isn't he the sweetest!?!?!  (Cue the Awwww's)  Plus, you know that guys usually don't have a knack for decorating!
Can see the paint color a little better here!

Our thermometer for our in floor heat:)
We will be loving the in floor heat, especially since it's a basement bathroom:)
Light Fixtures
These aren't the fanciest of light fixtures, but since it's in our basement we couldn't have a light over our vanity.  See the pot lights, that's where our vanity is going to sit, right below that:)
I know that I'm getting ahead of myself with buying the shower curtain and the towels, but when I went into Target it was calling my name...."Mindy, Mindy, please buy me!"  I couldn't say "no", so I bought them.  Plus, what always happens to me is that I see something that will work for what I need and then I don't get it.  When I come back a couple months later, it is no where in site and then I get a little bummed out! Does this ever happen to you?

Like I said before, I think the gray and the teal will go together really well! They go together like PB&J, salt and pepper, Vanilla and Ice...LOL...you get what I mean!
Shower Curtain
I need to take the shower curtain in as far as the width goes.  Our shower isn't a full length one.
Bought the shower curtain hangers from Target for only $6.00!!
Aren't these curtain hangers the perfect color for our bathroom?  I think they look darn good with the shower curtain!
Bath towel and Rug!
I bought the towels that matched the shower curtain and found a fluffy rug that pairs well with the towels and rug!  The rug was a bonus because it was on sale:)  Can't go wrong with that!

I hope you enjoyed in progress tour of our bathroom.  The end is in site and I'm happy:):):):)

Happy, happy Tuesday Gals!!!!

Thanks for stopping by:):):)

Until next time!!!!

  1. Oh my goodness! Ya'll are making so much progress! I'm lovin' the color scheme! I had the same experience with the teal color I originally choose for our bathroom walls.. hubby hated it! so now I'm on a mission to find another color combo. I really like the gray too!

    1. Good luck with picking out a color! It's quite the process. I always pick out sample size paint and paint it on the walls within the room I want. Then I choose one from the samples!
