~Wine Cover Love~

So far this weekend, I have been keeping super busy between cleaning the house, helping in the basement, and working on my crafts.  I just had to get my craft on this weekend and I wanted to share with you all what I finished.

Anyone who knows me, knows I love sweet wine.  Now, I don't mean I drink it all the time, I just have a passion for wine.  It is definitely my alcoholic drink of choice:)  Also, anyone who knows me   will tell you I have fallen head over heals for Pinterest....sigh!!!!  I guess, really who hasn't?!?!?!?

So the other night, I was going through the P boards and I came across a gem of a tutorial for a wine cover!  I thought to myself this is perfect and pretty cute:)  Plus, I could try out my brand new Brother sewing machine for only $50 that I bought the day after Thanksgiving!

Sew Sane Jane
You can find the lovely tutorial on the link above!  You should try it because after my first one it was really cake to whip up.  You can't beat the price either, they are so cheap to make.

So, I thought I would make one for myself and if they turn out well then I would make some for my friends, just because they are so awesome:)

Yes, they are the best frans a girl could ask for:)

It may have taken me all day to finish one because of the other things that I had to do throughout the day, but it turned out pretty good!  I have to say though after my first one, my second one took me less than an hour.  I'm definitely making another one to give away as a gift.

Don't ask about the dream...I guess a girl can dream to find the most  tasty wine:)
You can kind of tell a difference in size from one koozie to another:o  That just shows that you need to triple check your measurements!  Ooopppssss!!! I'll just use the excuse of it was my first time making it and I'm definitely far from an experienced even semi-experienced sewer.

Isn't it cute?

If you can't tell, pink is my favorite color, hence the pink throughout the wine koozie!

The tutorial that I followed definitely was great and I didn't really have any troubles at all.  So, my only suggestion or advice I would have for anyone who is sewing is just to triple check your measurements!  Oh, also, to use paper as your template and then just cute using that.  It saves sooo much time.

Now, I think I may just enjoy a glass of wine!  Then I may just try to make an IPad cover...hmmm....decision decision.  Enjoy your weekend and I hope you all have just as much fun making these as I did.
