Oh the Joys of Summer!!!

Hey there lovely ladies!!!  I sure hope you are enjoying your Monday!  I sure am:):)  I wanted to share with you some different things that the hubby and I have done lately and what I have been accomplishing.  First of all the hubby and I had a great weekend, we did some outside work and I had my grandma's 70th birthday on Sunday to celebrate!  Happy birthday Grandma!!!  I will definitely dedicate a post just to my grandma's b-day here really soon, I promise:)

This is my 2nd week for my weight loss journey and I have to say it's been easier than what I thought it would be, in the aspect of not craving so many different things!!  I owe a HUGE "thank you" to one of my best friend's, Dana because she is the one who is my workout buddy!!!  Thank-you soo much, Dana!!  I don't think I could have started this without you!!  I have been staying strong and following my diet.  I have been working my butt off, that's for sure!  I lift weights 3x's a week, do at least 3 cardio activities per day during the week, and watching what I eat:)  It has started off as a success, now I just need to keep my fingers crossed that I will continue down this path!  My plan is to loose a total of 30 pounds by the end of August and 50 pounds by December!  I think I can, I think I can...LOL!!!

Enough of that, I wanted to share with you all our landscaping that the hubby and I did over Memorial Day weekend!  It really is quite a change from what it was before.  I don't have any before pictures, but just close your eyes and think of a lilac bush with dirt around it with a sprinkling of twigs scattered around it.  That is the before picture.  Now here are the new and improved pictures:)

I love it!

These are some pics as we were working on it!  It did take some muscle and sweat to get it finished and it looks great, at least better then what it did before:)

Placing the plants where they looked best:)
We're so glad the way it turned out and can't wait to finish this next project....
Hopefully finish it this week:)
I will keep you posted on our next project!!  Well, enjoy your Monday!!!

Thanks for stopping by:):):)

Until next time!!!!

  1. congratulations on your diet and work out start and I know you will stick with it because you sound determined to achieve this goal. It is good to have a plan.
Our landscaping is very nice and I love the gentle curve shapes so so much very pleasing to the eye.

    1. Thanks Kat:):) The hubby didn't know about the curve in the middle, but I tried telling him that it would look much better that. It adds a little something to it!
