And the one I choose is B!!!! I think it will go more with the theme of my room and give it a classy and elegant look. I plan on using 3 different colors for my damask stencil on my wall: gray, deep purple, and white/off white.
I need to show you all of the fabric that I bought from our local fabric shop! I found some different textures, colors, and print. I went crazy in the store, so I bought some fabric which unfortunately I will not be able to use:( well at least not now!
Don't you just heart all of the fabrics? The leopard print doesn't really go too well...so that one is out the front door! |
Here is the picture with my new pillows that I have made! On this link you will find my How to for making a pillow:) I plan on adding lavender flowers (possibly) to my ruffled pillow. Do you think I should add the lavender flowers to it? I was thinking if I added the flowers I would either make 3 and clump them together by each other or line them up at the top of the pillow..... Here are the pics:)
Ruffled pillow with flower? I'm planning on adding a little sparkle to the center of the flower too:) Oh, and look at that tree aren't the leaves just lovely? |
Or without the flowers? |
I will be adding some more pillows to my bed and I'm not quite for sure if I want to keep my big flower pillow or not. So, I am on a mission to make some more pillows. Then on to my next project where I will tackle either painting my dresser or painting the walls!!! I'm very excited to go pick out some paint colors for the walls:) Wish me luck!!!
Beautiful!!! Love the flower on the pillow!!!
ReplyDeleteThanks Renee for your suggestion!! I was thinking it would add a pop of color to the front of the pillow. Thanks for stopping by:)
ReplyDeleteGreat job on the pillows!! I know how proud you are of them, I recently made my first pillows and it was a great feeling!!
ReplyDeleteIt is quite the accomplishment isn't it? It's nice to be able to personalize it to exactly what you want:) Thanks for comment!!!
ReplyDeleteLOVE the theme you ended up going with! Great colors!
ReplyDeleteThanks Lindsay:) I wanted to go for a huge change from what I had before and I think I'm going in the direction.
ReplyDeleteWhere do you buy fabric from? I can't seem to find fabric I love around where I live. I really do love the comforter! Great colors for a bedroom! The walls would look amazing painted a darkish grey with some purple accents throughout. I'm so excited for our house to be finished so I can start doing stuff like this!
ReplyDeleteLaurie, I we have a couple fabric stores around the area. We have a place called Joann Fabrics and also a locally owned business. I bought my materials from the locally owned business. They didn't have exactaly what I was looking for, but it worked I think:) I agree with you that it is a lot of fun decorating your house:) We've been in our house for a couple years now and I think it's time to update. I just can't wait until the room all comes together!
