Weekend Update!

Happy Monday:):):)  Another weekend that has flew by and I here it is almost Tuesday!!!  The countdown for the number of school days left is on!!!  Yes, it is:):) We only have 19 more days of school.  I must say each year, the school year goes by faster and this year was such an awesome year!  The kiddos have been wonderful and I will definitely be sad to see them go:(  Hopefully, next year they will stop by at least a couple times to say hi:)

Anyways, I wanted to share with everyone what I did over the weekend.  For the most part, it was pretty laid back, except on Saturday we celebrated my parents 30th wedding anniversary!  I just wanted to share some photos with you for the party!  Some of them may be a little silly just a FYI....

Calling All Cinnamon Toast Crunch Lovers!!!

Today was a VERY productive day at our house!  We picked out the grout for our bathroom, did a lil laundry, dusted, picked up the living, bedroom and bathroom, AND knocked out those lovely dishes!  I have been over all a pretty busy girl today and this weekend:)

I told all of you yesterday that I had a family party to go to yesterday and that I made some S'mores Cupcakes.  I also made some Cinnamon Toast Crunch cupcakes also!  If you love the cereal and a cinnamony cupcake then you would be delighted with these!

This is where I found the recipe for these lovely and delicious cupcakes!  You should check out this website, especially if your looking for some different and extremely tasty cupcakes:):)  I didn't change much with this recipe, so if you would like it stroll on over to her site!!!

Who Wants S'mores Cupcakes???

I have  a family par-tay to go to today and I thought, it's not a party unless you have cupcakes!  Am I right?  So, I was a busy little bee last night and tried out 2 new kinds of cupcakes:)  These ones that I'm going to share with you today are quite delightful and rich!  I really like how they turned out.

The reason why I picked a S'mores cupcake is because it reminds me of camping and campfires..which I can't wait to go camping this Summer by the way!  If you LOVE chocolate and S'mores this will definitely hit the spot for you:)

When I made these lovely little cupcakes, I did find the recipe from off of Pinterest.  I took a couple different recipes and pieced them together to make my cupcakes!

Today I just wanted to share with you some pics that I took of these lovely little pieces of art...LOL...I kid, I kid!!!  In all seriousness, though, here are the tasty little guys:)

Raspberry Surprise Cupcakes!!!

A couple days ago I posted about my York Peppermint Cupcakes, and now I'm going to share with you all my Raspberry Surprise Cupcakes!  Let me start off with saying these were my favorite out of the two different cupcakes!!!  The frosting was UN-believably tasty.

Again, I found this recipe off of Pinterest from Your Cup of CakeYou can check out the recipe on that site!  The only thing that I changed to the recipe was that I used light cream cheese, light sour cream, and I added a raspberry to top off the cupcake, otherwise it was all the same.  These cupcakes are moist, sweet, and you won't be able to get enough(not gonna lie!)  They did take a little while to whip together, but they are soo worth the time!

Cupcakes Galore!

Happy Tuesday All:) We're almost to hump day, Wednesday which means half way through the week!!!

This past weekend, I was a mission to make a couple different kinds of cupcakes.  I thought, cupcakes are going to be pretty quick and easy to make, so why not try a couple different ones!  Well, I was right on the easy part(or at least the ones that I whipped put together, but I wasn't right on it being quick.  I found many different recipes on the lovely and addicting Pinterest.  So, I made my cupcakes from one of the recipes I found off the net!

The cupcakes were easy, but took about 2.5 - 3 hours to make and didn't get started until 7 o'clock at night!  So, by the time I had all the cupcakes ready to go, I still had to clean up and didn't get to bed until 11:30 or midnight!  Oh well, it was worth it!  They are soo moist, and delicious!

Now, on to the best part, the recipe and mouth-watering pictures:)

Delicious!!!

7 Super Shots!

Hey everybody!  I hope your all having a fantastic day:)  I just found out yesterday that Mindy from My Life As  tagged me in a post of hers.  The orginal post came from the Family and Life in Las Vegas.  Now, I'm suppose to choose 7 super travel pictures based on some criteria  and share them with you all!  This post took me a while because I had ALOT of pictures to leaf through!  So, I hope you enjoy!!!  Well, here are the 7 that I choose:

The first one that I had to find a photo that...takes my breath away!
Maui
Maui has some crystal-clear, breathtaking beaches and this was one of them:)  It had to be my favorite beach because it was kind of in an inlet of coral reef.  So, the coral reef broke up the waves quite a bit!

2nd ....a photo that makes me think....hmmm....

Basement Reno

There has been quite a few changes in our basement bathroom that I wanted to share with you lovely ladies:)  I have to give credit where credit is due and give all of this to my wonderful, fantastically handy hubby!!!  He has been working his butt off and still is.

I knew that I wanted to have a teal, gray, and white color scheme for our basement.  I wanted to carry this color scheme throughout our whole basement, especially since most of it would be open to the other rooms.  I heart the crisp, fresh, and bright feeling that teal packs:)  Teal is, as you may already know, my favorite color of the year!!

After a lot of convincing the hubby that the color would look FAB on the walls, we ended up with this shade.  When it was first on the walls, I was like OMG, holy brightness, where's my shades!?!?!  Then after a while of getting used to the color, I wouldn't change it.  I have to thank the hubby bunches for letting me keep this color because he isn't a fan.  He always says whatever makes you happy:)  Isn't he the sweetest!?!?!  (Cue the Awwww's)  Plus, you know that guys usually don't have a knack for decorating!
Can see the paint color a little better here!

Adding a Touch of Spring!

Hey everybody!!!  I hope you had a fantastic Monday and are ready for Tuesday:)  Today, I was surprised to see my new BirchBox in the mail!!!  There are some great goodies and things that I will love to try out.  Once I try out the products, I will let you know how I like them.

Enough about BirchBox, I wanted to show you my fabulous, springy pin wheels that I made:)  I've been seeing them every where and decided why not make my own.  It still hasn't found a home yet, but I'm sure it soon will be!
So Springy!

Growing into Something Special!

This week has seriously just flew by!  I don't know where it went...   It seems like I never have enough time to do everything that I would like to do at night after work!  I'm behind on blogging and things at school, oh well.  I'm sure I'll eventually get caught up.

Once the hubby came home tonight, he helped me (scratch that) planted our Robinson Crabapple tree:):):)  I don't know why I'm super duper excited about this!  Maybe it's because of the beautiful flowers that we'll have during the Spring time!    I call it our Easter tree because we bought shortly after Easter.

It will be neat being able to see our tree grow throughout the years that we are at our house.  I think, it will  symbolize the growth our family. We got married July of last year, and hopefully(soon), crossing our fingers and toes, we will be trying for a baby!

Anywho, I wanted to share with you some pics of what it will look like in probably 20 years or so...LOL!

It has a LONG way to go!

Chocolate Covered Chips

Just a quick post for today, I wanted to share with you the chocolate covered chips that I made.  I discovered this yummy recipe from Grateful Belly!

They were easy and delicious.  It just takes a little bit of time.  I found in order to add the white chocolate to the chips you need to have an icing bottle to squeeze the white chocolate onto the chips.

My first couple chips I choose to use a spoon to drizzle the white chocolate on the chips.  That didn't work out so well, the white chocolate was uneven and didn't look the best.  So, that's when I whipped out the icing bottles.  I would suggest doing the same thing if you choose to add white chocolate to your chocolate covered chips.

They were delish!

My little helper:)
Well, that's all that I have for today!  You can check out the recipe/how to for these chips on the Grateful Belly:)
Hope you all have a fantastic Thursday!!!  We are soo close to the weekend...woohooo!!!

Thanks for stopping by:):):)

Until next time!!!!

Flower Power!

Happy Friday everyone!!!!  I had such a fabulous Friday because I got to hang out with one of my best friends and we went shopping and did more shopping.  Plus, we had couples date night tonight at Famous Dave's!  I had a mean strawberry spiked lemonade, it sure was tasty:):)

These past couple days, I have been spending more and more time outside trying to get our flower beds ready for summer.  I've also been watching my lilac bush start to bud and bloom into some lovely and fragrant flowers.  I can't tell you how much I LOVE lilac's.

So, yesterday I decided to pick a couple bouquets of flowers and put them in vases throughout our house and today I gave one bouquet to my friend.  She loved them!

I wanted to share with you all, all of my Spring/flower pictures that I have been snapping throughout this week:)  I hope you enjoy them as much as I do!!!

My bouquets after I picked them:)
They are just soo pretty and I LOVE the smell of them!  I don't think the hubby is loving them so much, but oh well, I do:):)

Feather Central

Feather Central

I don't think I have ever told any of you that I LOVE FEATHERS!!!  I also love anything with peacocks..I don't know why, but it's just something about the design. I'm soo loving this top though.  The best part about it is that it's pretty darn cheap:)  The pops of peach really compliment the peach in the shirt.  What do you think?  Do you love feathers just as much as I do?

Have a fantastic night:)

Raspberry Surprise

I'm soo excited that it is Thursday because that means that I have my 4 day weekend to look forward to:)  I will be spending time with family and friends, and start a little Spring cleaning!  Do any of you have any plans over Easter weekend?

I still haven't shared with you all what else I made last Friday for dinner!  Like I posted last Friday, I wanted to make a dessert that was summery and I choose to make, what I call, Raspberry Surprise!!!  This recipe takes a while to complete it, mainly because it has to set up, bake, and setup, but it's well worth it:)

Yummy in my Tummy:)

It doesn't take too many ingredients:

2 cs of pretzels (broken into pieces)
1 large box of raspberry Jell-o (6 oz)
1 c of sugar
1/2 c of butter, melted
1 container of Cool Whip whipped topping(8 oz)
2-3 cups of frozen or fresh raspberries
3 Tblsps of sugar
2 cups of boiling water
1 package of cream cheese (8 oz)
Ingredients

If you wanted to cut back on the calories then you put in sugar free Jell-o, light Cool Whip and cream cheese.

First you must combine broken pretzels, butter and sugar.  I used a big zip lock baggie and put all of those ingredients in there and shook it up.  Put into a 9 x 13 pan and bake at 350 degrees for 7 minutes.  Let that cool off and then continue to the next step.

Add ingredients listed above to bag and shake.
Then, in a mixing bowl,  put in sugar and cream cheese until it's smooth.  Add in cool whip as you are mixing it.  Take this mixture and spread on top of the pretzel layer.

Mix it up!
Last, Mix together Jell-o, boiling water, and raspberries.  Let cool and set for a little while.  Put this mixture over top of the cream cheese layer.  Set in fridge until it is firm.

Boil

Overall, this recipe is easy, but does take a little longer than I thought that it would because you have to wait a while for the first layer to cool down and then you have to wait for everything to set up.  One thing to keep in mind, is that the crust doesn't stay crunchy for too long.  I made it very late on Thursday night and by early Friday night it was just starting to get a little soogie.  Make sure you serve and eat this dessert within 2 days tops.

What a delish dish:)
I hope you enjoy what is left to your Thursday!!!

Thanks for stopping by:):):)

Until next time!!!!!!
