Scrumptious Meal:)

We are having our family over on Friday night for supper and just to visit.  I love to entertain and plan for parties.  Even though this isn't a party, I still get to figure out what to make for dinner!  So, I wanted to figure out what I should whip together for a meal.  I had to keep in mind it's lent and we can't eat meat.

Whenever I have guests, I like to have a type of appetizer whether it be salsa and chips, veggies, or etc.  This time I thought that i would make these yummy baked onion rings:)  They look too tempting!

What I'm Loving Wednesday!

Here we are again, half way through the week:)  I know I'm looking forward to this weekend!  My mom and grandma are going to come and visit the hubby and I, and I can't wait to spend time with the fam:)  I'm thinking about making some yummy grilled fish tacos.  I've never tried making these, but you have to start somewhere, right?

I'm linking up at the fabulous Little Daisy May blog for What I'm Loving Wednesday:)

What I'm loving today is my book The Host by Stephenie Meyer.  Yes, the author from The Twilight series!!!  This book is quite the read, it definitely is a page turner.  It takes place in the future where beings take over humans minds and live within their bodies and take control of them.  There is this human named Melanie and she is trying to find someone very special to her.  The host that enters her mind and body, eventually wants to find this person also.  Melanie and the host fall in love with this other person and the story takes off from there!

What I'm loving today is Scratch cupcakes! OMG really these are the BEST cupcakes you will ever have:)  I always tell people they could go on Cupcake Wars from TLC and win, hands down!  We went there on Saturday and had to wait about 15-20 minutes to buy our delicious cupcakes and let me tell you, it was well worth it!

What a Nice Surprise!!!

This past Friday, I came home to find something exciting sitting on our kitchen counter, something that I wasn't expecting to find quite yet!  The hubby got home before I did and he had the mail sitting on the counter.  I found my Birch Box on the counter and I did a little happy dance because I was soo happy that it came in already!  I didn't really know what to expect.  I do have to say that it has the cutest little packaging and I love the little samples that come in it!  I knew that they would be small, but they really are quite tiny:(

I thought I would take this post to review what I received within the box.  Then if your thinking about purchasing either the Birch Box or items in it, it may help you make your decision!  So here I go, I hope it helps:)

Here is the box and the samples:

Isn't it so cute?

All of my lovely samples!

Just Peachy!

Here I go again with the teal pants that I paired with the dark purple yesterday!  This is a more subtle look.  I'm drooling over the glitz shirt and the contrast of the peach with the teal.  The gold just mixes so well with this color combo.  This outfit, with the exception of the purse, really isn't too pricy.  The best part is that the jacket and the shirt could be paired with a pair of blue jeans or could have some many other possible combos with other staples in your wardrobe:)  This outfit has to be my favorite, probably because I love to get all dressed up and I love sparkles!!!

Whenever, I'm on Polyvore, it makes me want to go out and start shopping to somewhere like Mall of America or a place where there would be oodles of stores!!!  I hope you find this outfit just as inspiring as I have found it for me:)  I need to go shopping and find an outfit with these two colorsHave a great night ladies!!!!

Fun and Flirty

My two favorite colors put together in an outfit!  Most of this outfit is definitely just to drool over because some pieces are pricey, but it's just fun to see it all together!  I love the purple flowy top because it can hide some imperfections.  The butterfly ring just brings it altogether.  The eye shadow is super Springy and fun!  My favorite thing would have to be those shoes!  I love the criss crosses and the studs in the shoes:)  I really don't know how long I could actually wear something like that...they're just Amazing!!!

If you haven't figured out already, I LOVE to shop and spend my money on clothes!  I just wish I had more to spend.  Shopping seems to be a stress reliever which sometimes we just need that:)   The other thing that I can't live without is my makeup!  I have many different shades of eyeshadow, and eyeliner!  Smoky eyes are fun to try out every now and then.

Well hope you ladies have a Fantastic night!

S'mores Golden Graham Treats..YUM!!

Warning, if you make these, they can get VERY addicting, so be extra cautious!!!  On Friday, not only did I make a Walnut and Grape Salad and Mac n' Cheese, but I also made S'mores Golden Graham Bar:)  These are soo easy to make, I just nuked them and then they were good to go.

Yum, Yum!!!!
In order to make these addicting bars, you will need:
1/4 c of butter
1 10 oz bag of regular marshmallows
1 box of Golden Graham Cereal
2 c of Semi-sweet chocolate chips
Ingredients

1.  In a large bowl, put the butter in it and melt in the microwave.

2.  Set the microwave for 45 seconds, then add your marashmallows to the bowl with the butter.  Start the microwave for 45 seconds then take it out and stir it.  Repeat about 3 - 4 times.  Stir the marashmallows and the butter together.

3.  Take out of the microwave add your Golden Grahams and mix until they are completely covered.  Then add in your chocolate chips and stir them in well.
Add Grahams

4.  Grab a 9 x 13 pan and grease it either with spray or butter.  Put the ingredients in the pan and spread out.  These will be pretty thick, but that's how their suppose to be.  That means more deliciousness to taste:)

Yummers:)

I think these may be my new favorite dessert:)   I hope you will enjoy this recipe!!!

Thanks for stopping by:)

Until next time!!!!!

Egg-cellent Art

Hey All!  I'm pretty excited to share with you what project I was working on this past weekend!  I was having Hobby Lobby with drawls, so I thought I would stop by and see what I could find.  As always, I didn't come out empty handed!  I bought quite a variety of things and didn't end up spending too much money.  I'm proud of myself for that because usually Hobby Lobby = bad news for my pocket book...yikes!!!!

Anyways, I made some good purchases,  my favorite purchase was these Easter eggs.  You might say, but why, they are soo plain!  I beg to differ because you can do many things with them:)  One of those things that you could use the eggs for is this wall art!

Say Cheese!!!

It's Sunday morning, here in Iowa, and the sun is shining without a cloud in the sky:)  I have all sorts of things planned to finish for today like: take our doggie for walk, clean the house, make dinner, and go into town to get some errands done!  Do you all have a long list of things to wrap up before the weekend comes to an end?

Yesterday, I shared with you my Walnut and Grape Salad and today I wanted to share with you my Mac n' Cheese recipe.  I thought the salad and the Mac n' Cheese went very well together and I think that I will be whipping it together again because it was such a hit with the hubby and my guests:)

Yummy!!!

Walnut and Grape Salad:)

Hey All:)  I have been pretty busy this weekend and it has been filled with lots of time spent with family and friends!  Last night, my lil sis came over along with a friend and I made some delicious supper!  Then we went to see The Hunger Games and I was super excited to go see it:)  We watched the movie in a smaller town, so it wasn't completely sold out, which was nice because then we weren't sitting on top of each other.

I knew the movie wasn't going to be as good as the book and I was right.  I do have to say though, it was good and the actors did a pretty good job.  In my opinion, better than Twilight actors.  I love the movie/series Twilight, don't get me wrong, but the acting just wasn't the best:(  The costumes in The Hunger Games were definitely out there along with their hair and accessories!

Before we went to the movie, like I said before, I made supper, and one of the dishes I made was a Walnut and Grape Salad!  It did turn out pretty tasty.  I found the recipe off of My Recipes, but I did change it just a teenie bit.

Ingredients:
2 cups of walnut halves
1/3 cup of Light Olive Oil
2 tablespoon sugar
1 tsp of salt
1/4 c White Wine Vigenar
2 tablespoons of Dijon mustard
1/4 tsp of ground pepper
1 lb of lettuce
1 1/2 c of halved red seedless grapes
1 c finely slivered red onion
2 tablespoons of tarragon

A Mod Podge Day:)

Whoop!  Whoop!!  It's Thursday and it only means two things: 1. My fav shows are on tonight and 2. It's almost FRIDAY:)  I'm digging that it's almost Friday because it's the weekend and it means let The Hunger Games begin!!!  So completely excited for it:):)

I have been trying to find some lovely decorations or at least inspiration for crafts that we can display in our basement.  I thought it would be a neat idea to include our last intail "J" in our decor.  I wanted to personalize it to our color scheme that we'll have in the basement.  So, I ran over to Hobby Lobby, and bought a cardboard "J", and some scrapbook paper to cover it with.  This is what I came up with!

Teal, Gray, and Purple:)

Coral and Brown

Hey lovely ladies! I wanted to share with you another outfit that I put together.
Coral + brown + gold = Smiles all around! If only I had the money to buy this outfit...  Maybe I could find something similar to this purse.  A girl can dream can't she? Thanks for stopping by and I hope you enjoy your night:)

What I'm Loving Today!!!!

What a wonderful Wednesday it's been!  I had so much fun last Wednesday taking part in What I'm Loving Wednesday at Little Miss Daisy that I thought I would try it again:)  This has been one of my favorite posts last week, so here we go again!!!

What I'm loving today is being able to go for a walk with the hubby and Lucy in March on a 70ish degree day!!!

Lucy!
I talked to one of my friends in Phoenix and she said it has been warmer here in Iowa than where she's at!  Now that's just crazy!

I'm loving Mod Podge and that you can pretty much craft just about anything using this amazing stuff!
The best darn stuff!
